How do I contact Essential Electrolysis?

Call or text 083 091 9695 to book or make an inquiry.

How does electrolysis work?

There is always some degree of sensation when a fine filament (which is matched with hair size) is inserted into the hair follicle, an electrical current is then passed through the probe in order to destroy the hair cells to the extent where it can no longer produce hair at all.

A topical numbing cream is available from your GP or Pharmacy to make your treatment more comfortable. We discuss the measures you can take to reduce sensation.

How does Electrolysis differ from laser in the treatment of permanent hair removal?

Firstly, electrolysis treatment is effective at all stages of hair growth stages whereas laser only works in the Anagen phase of hair growth and only on dark hair on fair-skin.

The Anagen phase is a very small window of time. Laser only achieves reduction NOT permanent hair-removal.

Electrolysis destroys all hair types in all phases of hair growth and on all skin types, everything.

Does Electrolysis hurt?

There is always some degree of discomfort however it depends greatly on each individuals tolerance to pain, the type of hair, and the area being treated.

The sensation is described as a slight sting or short heat sensation.

A topical numbing cream is available from your doctor or pharmacist to make your treatment more comfortable.

Been waxing, plucking, threading and sugaring but tired of the maintenance?

We hear you. Waxing, plucking, threading and sugaring only serve to make the hair thicker and stronger and can also result in ingrown hairs. Electrolysis is the only proven method of permanent hair removal.

How long will a treatment last?

Your electrolysis journey will begin with a consultation and includes a sample treatment. The area to be treated will be assessed. Photographs will be taken (with consent). A treatment plan will be put in place in agreement/suitable to client.

The length of time varies based on size of area, coarseness, tolerance and density.

How many treatments will I need?

This will depend on what temporary method you've used in the past to remove your unwanted-hair. How often you tweeze, pluck or thread or shave ? Daily or weekly? Hormonal issues.

All aspects will considered and a tailor made plan put in place.

How does electrolysis differ from Laser In the treatment of permanent hair removal?

Firstly electrolysis is effective. Electrolysis destroys all hair types in all phases of hair growth and on all skin types absolutely.
